Compliance & tax

Is i-Tavi Pay actually FRCS-compliant?
Yes. i-Tavi Pay's payroll engine implements FRCA Payroll Specification v1.4 in full. Every EMS file is pre-validated against the spec before it's sent to FRCS at payeems@frca.org.fj. Your filings match exactly what FRCS expects.
Which Fiji statutory deductions does i-Tavi Pay handle?
All of them: consolidated PAYE bands (post-2023 reform), FNPF (8% employee + 10% employer), FNU 1% Training Levy, ACC employer liability, plus Wages Council minimum-wage validation per sector. Plus retention rules under ERA s.45 and Public Holidays Act calendar.
What happens when FRCS changes a tax band?
Nothing breaks. Rates and bands live in versioned rate_tables keyed by jurisdiction and year — not in code. We push the new year's tables to every customer at once. Historical periods continue using the old tables, so re-runs stay accurate.
Can I run amended pay cycles for a previous period?
Yes. Amended pay cycles follow the FRCA Section 6 amendments process. Every amendment is version-controlled and tracked in the immutable audit log.

Migration & setup

I'm currently on MyPayroll / GCT MyPayroll. Can you migrate me?
Yes. We've migrated multi-entity Fiji groups off GCT MyPayroll ourselves, so we know the format inside-out. Our team handles employee register import, FNPF/TIN validation, rate-table setup and a parallel pay run before you go live.
How long does a migration take?
For most SMBs (under 100 employees), one to two pay cycles. We run i-Tavi Pay in parallel with your existing system for one period, reconcile to the cent, then swap over.
What about my payroll history?
We import opening balances and statutory year-to-date figures so reports remain accurate. Older history can be archived as PDF reports filed against each Employee Card.

Security & data

Where is my data stored?
In encrypted cloud infrastructure with daily snapshots and point-in-time recovery. Multi-tenant by construction with row-level isolation. Geographic redundancy and DDoS protection at the edge.
Who in my company can see what?
Pre-defined roles: Admin, Payroll Processor, Payroll Approver, HR Officer, Finance, Employee Self-Service. Permissions are granular per module. SSO via Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace optional.
What if I want to leave?
Your data is yours. We provide a full export in CSV, JSON and PDF on request, no exit fees. Account closure follows our standard 30-day process.

Mobile & ESS

Is the i-Tavi Pay app free for my employees?
Yes. Every employee on a paid i-Tavi Pay subscription gets free access to the responsive web app at app.tavipay.com. Works on any phone — iPhone, Android, tablet, desktop. No app store install required, no per-user fees.
What can employees do in the app?
View payslips, see leave balances, submit leave requests, track loan repayments, get push notifications when payroll lands, and acknowledge company policies — all from their phone.
Is the app secure?
Yes. Session cookies are HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. All data over TLS 1.3. Biometric unlock supported where the browser exposes it (Face ID / fingerprint on modern iOS & Android).
